This was a great book that I loved reading with the kids. It did a great job delivering the message about having healthy self-esteem and being happy just the way you are. Not only was the message cleverly delivered, it was very smooth and easy to read. The story flowed well, which helped capture kids' attention and the wonderful, vivid pictures just made it even better.
One thing that I don't get though is the whole introducing Spanish thing. It says that all of her books "offer a themed vocabulary to introduce the Spanish language to the reader." I haven't seen any Spanish in any of the books I've read so far, so I'm not sure what that's about, though I think the books are simpler and more effective without trying to add learning Spanish to the mix. My kids only have so long of an attention span after all.
This was a great book, and I would definitely recommend it.
