This story had promise, as it was a very interesting fairy tale, but unfortunately, it didn't quite deliver. Bogged down scenes, so-so writing, and a mixed up plot weighed the story down. There were scenes that should have been deleted, and the author should have spent more time with the evil plot, expanding it and making it last longer than just a few pages. There was a heck of a lot of build-up, to the point where I started skipping scenes, and then a bit of an anti-climatic ending. All in all though, this was a decent book, and the author does show promise.
